The ingredients needed to make Spicy Duck Curry:
  1. Take For marination:
  2. Make ready 1 kg Duck (cut into medium sized pieces & fat removed)
  3. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  4. Get 2 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  5. Prepare 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  6. Make ready to taste Salt
  7. Take For Gravy:
  8. Prepare 1.5 cup chopped Onion
  9. Make ready 2-3 dried Red chillies
  10. Take 1 sliced Tomato
  11. Prepare 8-10 Green chillies
  12. Take 1 teaspoon chopped Ginger
  13. Make ready 1 teaspoon chopped Garlic
  14. Prepare 2 cup light Coconut Milk
  15. Take 1 cup heavy Coconut Milk
  16. Make ready 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  17. Make ready 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  18. Take 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  19. Get 3 teaspoon Garam Masala powder
  20. Prepare 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  21. Get 2 tablespoon Coconut oil
  22. Make ready 1 teaspoon Ghee

Steps to make Spicy Duck Curry:
  1. Wash the duck pieces well, soak this in a bit of salt for sometime & then squeeze out the excess water & drain it. Applying salt while cleaning helps to open the pores & helps to clean properly.
  2. Marinate the cleaned duck pieces using the ingredients mentioned in "for marination" section.
  3. Heat a pan, pour coconut oil & ghee. Add mustard seeds, stir for sometime & add onions, wait till it becomes light brown then add dried red chilli, ginger garlic & saute for sometime.
  4. Now add green chillies, tomatoes & stir.
  5. Add the marinated duck pieces, salt to taste & cover pan. Cook over low flame for 30-40 minutes till duck is half done.
  6. Now add turmeric, coriander & red chilli powder, garam masala into light coconut milk & mix well.
  7. Pour this milk mixture into duck curry. Lower heat & simmer gently till duck is fully cooked & cover with lid.
  8. When gravy has thickened add the heavy coconut milk, stir. Cook for sometime & take it off from gas.
  9. Your Spicy Duck curry is ready to serve!
