  2. Get 1/2 tsp . Turmeric powder

  5. Take . Whole spices (Crush all the whole spices in a mortar and pestle)
  6. Take 3 – 4 Cardamom
  7. Prepare 1/4 tsp Whole pepper corns
  8. Make ready 8 Cloves
  9. Take 1/2 inch Cinnamon stick
  10. Prepare 1/2 tsp, Fennels
  11. Prepare 1 inch . Ginger , thinly sliced
  12. Make ready 8 large Garlic cloves, chopped
  13. Make ready 2 medium-small, thinly sliced Onion
  14. Take 4 – 5, slit Green chilies
  15. Take 1 sprig Curry leaves
  16. Prepare 1/4 tsp . Turmeric powder
  17. Take 1 – 1.5 tsp Coriander powder
  18. Take 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  19. Prepare 1/4 – 1/2 tsp Freshly ground pepper powder
  20. Make ready 2 – 3 tsp Vinegar
  21. Prepare 1/4 – 1/2 cup Hot water
  22. Make ready 3/4 cup Coconut milk, thick
  23. Prepare Salt – To taste
  24. Prepare 1/4 tsp or to taste . Freshly ground pepper
  25. Make ready A few Curry leaves
  26. Prepare 1.5 tbsp + 1 tsp Coconut oil
  27. Prepare 1/4 tsp or to taste Garam masala powder

Instructions to make Duck Curry with Coconut Milk:
  1. Heat 1.5 tbsp coconut oil in a pressure cooker at medium heat. Add in the crushed whole spices and stir until fragrant for about 5 – 10 seconds. Add. Ginger and sauté until onion turns transparent. Add in Turmeric powder
  2. Sauté until their raw smell is gone. Next add marinated duck pieces, vinegar and 1/4 cup hot water. Mix everything well. Close with the lid and pressure-cook for 1 or 2 whistles or until duck is fully cooked.
  3. Open the lid and add 3/4 cup thick coconut milk. Mix well. Check for salt. Add 1/4 – 1/2 tsp of freshly ground black pepper, few curry leaves, 1 tsp coconut oil and 1/4 tsp garam masala powder. Mix well and switch off when it starts to boil. Serve with porotta, chapathis, bread, idiyappam, appam, rice etc.
