  1. Make ready 3 Onions
  2. Prepare 2 Teaspoons garlic paste
  3. Prepare 10 - 15 Chilly Green
  4. Get 10 - 20 pepper
  5. Get 2 Teaspoons garam masala
  6. Get 2 Tablespoons corriander powder
  7. Make ready 500 Grams Duck
  8. Take 1 ½ Teaspoons Fennel
  9. Take 1 Teaspoon ginger paste
  10. Prepare 2 - 4 Potatoes

Instructions to make Thaaravu curry [Duck curry]:
  1. Saute Onions along with green chilli, garlic and ginger paste, pepper and curry leaves till onion becomes brown. [Green chilli sliced as 2 pieces]
  2. Now add garam masala, cumin and corriander powder. Mix it well.
  3. Prepare 3 cups of coconut milk. First add 3rd cup.Let it boil. Now add the second cup. Let it also boil.
  4. Now add duck and potatoes. Let it get cooked. [Add potatoes when duck is half cooked] (Take a knife or anything sharp and prick the duck piece to check if its cooked. Also take a small piece and taste it to see if its well cooked)
  5. Add the 1st cup, stir it and switch off the stove.
  6. Serve hot with Appam Or Chappathi
  7. ** You can use Cinnamon-a small piece, Cardamom-6 and cloves-4 instead of garam Masala. [Grind and make the masala mix]
