  3. Take 100 gr sugar
  4. Take 2 egg yolks
  5. Make ready 50 gr corn starch / maizena flour
  6. Get 5 ml vanilla essence / 1/2 pod vanilla bean
  7. Make ready Biscuit:
  8. Prepare 50 gr oreo/chocolate cookies
  9. Get 50 gr butter cookies
  10. Prepare 50 gr ground nuts
  11. Make ready 50 gr butter/margarine melted
  12. Make ready 3-5 pieces raisin (garnish)

Steps to make Layered custard dessert:
  1. In a heavy bottom pot, heat the milk with 1 tsp sugar and vanilla essence/vanilla bean until a little bubbly but NOT over heat it. Switch off the heat.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, beat egg yolks, sugar and corn starch. Beat it well.
  3. Pour half of the milk mixture carefully and slowly into egg mixture. Whisk them well.
  4. Add the egg mixture into the other half of milk in the pot.
  5. Slowly heat the mixture for 2-4 minutes until it is thickened and keep whisking it to avoid the bottom part get burned.
  6. Switch off the heat. Strain the custard mixture into fresh bowl.
  7. Cover the custard with wrapping folio and chill it overnight.
  8. The next day. Prepare the biscuit. Mash the oreo/chocolate cookies, butter cookies, peanuts in food processor/mortar pestle.
  9. Add the melted margarine/butter in each mashed cookies.
  10. Get a glass/bowl, assembly the layered custard as your wish. Garnish it as your wish.
  11. Other options: you may use the custard for fruits; exchange the cookies with granola, muesli, cornflakes, fruit puree.
  12. Chill it in the fridge for 2 hours or serve it rightaway.
