The ingredients needed to make Lamb Stew:
  1. Make ready Lamb chops
  2. Get 1-1.5 kg lamb chops
  3. Take 1/2 cup flour
  4. Prepare 1 Tbsp lamb seasoning
  5. Make ready Salt and pepper
  6. Get Oil for frying
  7. Get Stew
  8. Get 1 chopped onion
  9. Make ready 1 Tbsp garlic, crushed
  10. Make ready 1.5 cups red wine
  11. Take 500 g mushrooms, sliced
  12. Prepare 1 l lamb/beef stock
  13. Make ready 1 Tbsp, tomato puree
  14. Get 2 bay leaves
  15. Prepare 1 Tbsp thyme
  16. Prepare 4 carrots, cut in to chunks
  17. Take 4 potatoes, halved
  18. Prepare Salth and pepper

Steps to make Lamb Stew:
  1. Marinate the lamb chops in lamb seasoning for a minimum of 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl mix flour with salt and pepper and coat the lamb chops in seasoned flour.
  3. Heat oil in a heavy base pot and fry the chops till brown and set aside.
  4. In the same oil, fri onions till translucent. Add garlic and fry for a minute, making sure to scrape the pan.
  5. Add red wine and reduce. Then add stock, mushrooms, bay leaves, thyme, tomato puree, lamb chops, potatoes and carrots. Stir till well combined.
  6. Bake in the oven at 180° for 40-45 minutes or untill potatoes are cooked. Do not cover the pot inorder to maintain the colour of the chops.
  7. Serve with rice.
