  1. Make ready Crust
  2. Make ready 60 g butter, melted
  3. Make ready 1 egg
  4. Prepare 15 ml water
  5. Make ready 125 g flour
  6. Make ready 5 ml baking powder
  7. Take Pinch salt
  8. Make ready Filling
  9. Take 60 g butter, melted
  10. Take 45 g flour
  11. Prepare 5 ml custard powder
  12. Prepare Pinch salt
  13. Get 250 ml milk
  14. Get 125 ml sugar
  15. Get 2 eggs, separated
  16. Prepare Garnish
  17. Take As needed cinnamon, ground

Instructions to make Milk tart:
  1. For crust: In a bowl mix together melted butter, egg and water. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix together to make soft dough.
  2. Press in tart tin about 0.5cm thick. Bake in 180°C preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  3. For filling: Bring milk and sugar to a boil in a pot.
  4. Whisk melted butter, flour, egg yolk, salt and custard powder to make flour paste
  5. Add 1/3 of hot milk to flour paste and whisk to avoid lumps.
  6. Return to heat and whisk continuously till it thickens. Remove from heat when it is thick.
  7. In a separate bowl whisk egg whites to soft peak. Fold egg whites into custard.
  8. Pour custard into tart shell and bake for 20-30 minutes until set in preheated 180°C oven
  9. Let cool completely and dust with ground cinnamon. Enjoy with tea
