  3. Get 2 cup .milk. divided
  4. Make ready 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  5. Make ready 3 tbsp cornstarch

  7. Prepare 1 large egg
  8. Get 1 cup butterscotch morsels
  9. Take 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions to make Sunshines easy butterscotch pie:
  1. In a large bowl ,combine 1/2 milk ,2/3 cup sugar ,and the next 3 ingredients, stir well together , set to side .
  2. Heat the remaining 1 1/2 cup of milk, in a heavy saucepan. Over medium high heat .@180° or till tiny bubbles form around the edge (do not boil). Remove milk from heat
  3. Gradually add hot milk to sugar mixture ,stirring constantly with a wisk,….pour back from into saucepan, add the butterscotch morsel to milk mixture ,stir, cook for 5 minutes ,stirring constantly until thick and bubbly ,reduce heat on low for ,2 minutes ,constantly stirring . Now pour into pie shell and let cool 15 minutes place in refrigerator for 2 hours till pie is cold
  4. Top with whipped topping and crushed heath bar , slice and serve , and enjoy
  5. Keep in refrigerator after
