  1. Get 150 gm raw moth/mataki
  2. Make ready 1 big onion
  3. Get 2 small tomatoes
  4. Make ready 5-6 curry leaves
  5. Get 5-6 garlic cloves
  6. Get 1 tbsp salt
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp misal masala
  8. Make ready 1 tsp red chili powder
  9. Prepare 1 tbsp goda masala
  10. Take Tadka
  11. Take 2 tsp oil
  12. Get 1 tsp mustard seeds
  13. Prepare 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  14. Get 1 tsp turmeric
  15. Get 1/2 tsp asafoetida

Instructions to make Mataki usal:
  1. Wash the raw mataki and soak it overnight. Drain the water and put mataki in sprout maker for around 8-10 hours. Crush the garlic cloves. Finely chop the onions and tomatoes.
  2. Heat the pan and add oil in pan. Add Tadka ingredients and add curry leaves. Add crushed garlic and sauté. Add onions and sauté. Add tomato and sauté.
  3. Add mataki and little water. Put lid on pan and water on lid. Cook mataki till it becomes soft.
  4. Add remaining masala and salt. Add water and give it a boil. Mataki usal is ready to serve.
