  2. Get 350 ml litre vegetable stock homemade or bought
  3. Get 1 tin whole plum tomatoes
  4. Take 150 grams broccoli
  5. Get 125 grams Orzo or childrens fun pasta (stars, abc or such)
  6. Make ready 1 pinch dried herbs of choice or mixed herbs to taste
  7. Prepare 1 pinch pepper
  8. Make ready 1 pinch dried wild or dried garlic
  9. Take 1 pinch sugar (optional)
  10. Take 3 tbl creamed herb and/ or strong Cheddar cheese spread

Steps to make Sig's Tomato and Broccoli Soup:
  1. Heat the tomato passata together with the stock to simmer. Take of heat cool slightly, with a hand blender blitz the soup to a smooth consistency.
  2. Clean the broccoli if you are using fresh. Cut of small heads, set aside. Bring the soup to a light boil.
  3. Add broccoli and pasta to the boiling liquid, cook for about 7-8 minutes. Season the soup with your chosen herbs, pepper, wild or dried garlic. If you want sweeten with sugar. Turn down heat to simmer. Dont let the broccoli become discoloured and slushy.
  4. Now add some cheddar strong cheese spread or creamed herbed cheese, or both,stir. Serve and enjoy.
