  5. Get 1-15 oz. can kidney beans
  6. Take 2 cups hot water
  7. Make ready 1 tsp. ground peppercorn
  8. Prepare 1 tsp. ground sea salt
  9. Prepare pinch sugar
  10. Take 5 TBSP homemade chili spice (chili peppers, garlic cumin, oregano, paprika)
  11. Take 1 tsp. ginger
  12. Get 1 tsp. cilantro, dried
  13. Take coconut oil

Steps to make Slow Cooker Chili Beans:
  1. Add turkey to medium hot skillet, cook until done, stirring occasionally. About 7 minutes.
  2. Sautee onions (spray skillet with coconut oil) cook until tender. About 2 minutes on medium, stirring occasionally. Note: while these are cooking, prepare rest of ingredients.
  3. Rinse the kidney beans, put in slow cookers.
  4. Add all other ingredients except turkey and onions. Mix.
  5. When turkey and onion are ready, add to slow cooker. Mix well.
  6. This is the mild recipe. If you like it hot, add 3 TBSP cayenne pepper.
  7. Set slow cooker on high for 4 hours. If in a hurry, set for 2 hours. The longer you cook, the better the flavor. Serve with sour cream or cheese if desired.
