The ingredients needed to make Adai Mix dal dosa:
  1. Prepare 1 cup black eyed beans / lobia
  2. Get 1/4 cup rice
  3. Make ready 2 tbsp toor dal
  4. Make ready 2 tbsp moong dal
  5. Take 2 tbsp masoor dal
  6. Get 1/2 tbsp methi dana(fenugreek seeds)
  7. Prepare To taste Salt
  8. Prepare 1 onion
  9. Take 1 inch ginger
  10. Get 3-4 green chillies

Adai's origin is from Tamilnadu where it is usually paired with the vegetable, 'Avial'. The batter for Adai is ground thicker and coarser than the regular dosa batter and it does not require any fermentation.   1. Wash and soak all the dal, rice and methi seeds for 5 to 6 hrs..
  2. After 6 hrs grind the soaked ingredients with onion, ginger and green chillies to a fine batter..
  3. Add salt to taste and mix well..
  4. Heat tawa and spread the batter and cook on both sides and serve hot with coconut chutney or any gravy of your choice..
