The ingredients needed to make Khichyo Saag:
  1. Take 1 tbsp oil
  2. Get 2-3 green chillies chopped
  3. Get 1/2 inch piece adrak
  4. Get 1 Juice of lemon
  5. Prepare Pinch hing
  6. Take to taste Salt
  7. Take 2 tsp dhania jeera
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  9. Make ready 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  10. Prepare 1 brinjal chopped into pieces
  11. Get 1 potato chopped into pieces
  12. Get 1/4 bottle gourd chopped into pieces
  13. Take 1 small piece yam chopped into pieces
  14. Prepare 1 lotus stem (kamalkakadi) cut into round pieces
  15. Get 1 carrot chopped into pieces
  16. Make ready 2-3 tbsp chana dal
  17. Make ready 1-2 tbsp chovlidal (lobiya)
  18. Prepare 2-3 tomatoes chopped into pieces
  19. Take 1/2 bunch Spinach chopped finely
  20. Prepare as needed dill leaves (suva)
  21. Make ready 7-8 leaves Khatta bhaji

Instructions to make Khichyo Saag:
  1. Soak tha chana dal and chawli dal in Water for 2-3 hours.
  2. Wash the vegetables and chop into small pieces.
  3. Chop the Spinach, dill leaves and Khatta bhaji finely.
  4. In a Cooker Heat Oil. Add hing, green chillies chopped, chopped Ginger. Stir it and add chanadal and chawli dal. Stir for couple of minutes till it starts tempering.
  5. Add vegetables, tomatoes and leafy Vegetables.lower the flame and simmer it for few seconds.
  6. Stir it and add 1 glass water.
  7. Add salt, turmeric powder and Close the lid of the Cooker till 2 whistles.
  8. Off the flame.
  9. After the Cooker Cools open the lid and mash the vegetables lightly.keep on low flame.
  10. The Subji should be of thick consistency but the vegetables should not be pureed completely.
  11. Mix well.
  12. Add Jeera dhania powder and lemon juice.
  13. Khichyo Saag is ready to Serve.
  14. Transfer in a Serving bowl.
  15. Serve Piping hot with Roti.
