  1. Prepare 1 kg Hilsa fish or Elish mach
  2. Get 2piece brinjal cut into pieces
  3. Take 2 piece potato cut into pieces
  4. Make ready 1 tsp Kalonji or kala jeera
  5. Make ready 4 piece Green chilies splited
  6. Make ready to taste Salt and sugar
  7. Prepare As needed Refined oil
  8. Get 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  9. Prepare 1 tsp Kashmiri mirch
  10. Prepare 1 tsp Jeera powder

Steps to make Hilsa or Elish curry with brinjol and potato:
  1. Heat the oil in a pan
  2. Saute kalonji and green chilies.
  3. Add potatoes and brinjol. Fry it.
  4. Add turmeric, Kashmiri Mirch and a pinch of Jira powder.
  5. Add water and salt,sugar.
  6. When the water gets boiled add fish pieces and covered it with a lid.
  7. After 10min, the curry ready.
