  2. Prepare 2 large-sized leaves Cabbage
  3. Get 2 slice Bacon
  4. Prepare 500 ml Water
  5. Take 1 Bouillon stock cube
  6. Prepare 1/2 tbsp Olive oil
  7. Prepare 1 Salt and pepper
  8. Take 1 Dried parsley

Instructions to make Sweet Onion and Cabbage Soup:
  1. Slice off the tops and bottoms of the onions, and chop the cabbage into thin ribbons.
  2. Slice the bacon into 2 to 3 mm thick matchsticks.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the bacon on a medium flame.
  4. When the bacon is cooked, add the cabbage, and stir until the cabbage is tender.
  5. Add the onions, water, and bouillon cubes, cover with the lid and simmer. (Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to low heat.)
  6. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes on low heat until the onions become translucent and tender,
  7. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste, and serve! After transferring to serving bowls, garnish with parsley.
  8. Increase the volume with pasta! A nicely textured dish. I recommend it as a lunch item!
