The ingredients needed to make Jute and melon soup:
  1. Prepare 4 cups Jute leafs
  2. Make ready 5 Scotch bonnet
  3. Prepare cube Seasoning
  4. Take 1/4 cup grinded egusi
  5. Take Locust beans
  6. Take Salt

This recipe features shiitake mushrooms and ham. It is easy to add to this simple soup without altering the recipe's intention. Feel free to replace the ham with barbecued pork and/or shrimp, or add along with the ham. Winter melon soup is reputed to be good for weight loss and anti-swelling.

Instructions to make Jute and melon soup:
  1. Blend the scotch bonnet pepper and add to a pot of water
  2. Place on a source of heat Allow the water to boil
  3. Add the jute leaf into the water.
  4. Leave it on the source of heat and allow to boil for 5minutes don't cover it with lid.
  5. Using a hand blender blend to desired smoothness
  6. You want it looking like this
  7. Place it back on the stove add your salt, bullion cube, locust beans and your egusi paste allow to boil for about 5 minutes. Serve with stew and swallow of choice I prefer amala.enjoy
