The ingredients needed to make Multigrain Sattu Pitha:
  1. Take 2 cups sattu flour
  2. Take 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  3. Prepare 1/2 cup jaggery
  4. Get 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  5. Get 1/2 pinch salt
  6. Prepare as needed Oil for deep frying

We can make paratha stuffing with sattu flour and it is very delicious too. Mix the Sattu ka atta or Roasted Bengal gram flour with the Onions, garlic, ginger. Add the green chilies, coriander leaves, carom seeds,salt and mix well with the flour. Then add the lime juice and dry mango powder to the mixture and add the mustard oil and bind the stuffing.

Instructions to make Multigrain Sattu Pitha:
  1. Take jaggery and 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan. Heat and bring to boil. Switch off the flame. Strain the jaggery liquid to remove any impurities. - - In a mixing bowl/plate mix the sattu powder, jaggery liquid and sesame seeds. Mix with a spatula. Add half pinch of salt and cardamom powder. - Add 1 to 2 tbsp of extra water if required to make a soft dough.
  2. Heat oil in a wok. The flame should be low-medium. Make balls from the dough and press on the palm to make it flat and bit thicker than puri. - - Fry all the sweet pithas in the oil on both sides till golden brown. The pithas can be stored and used as a delicious sweet dessert/snack. - Thanks.
